The Story of BEATSyndrome

"It all started so innocently..."

Hello friend,

my name is Max aka Noizefield, and I just wanted to tell you a little story. In the beginning (or was it the middle of a particularly noisy night?), I just wanted to release a new sample pack. You know, some cool bits from my recently created NI Reaktor Ensembles, a dash of my Eurorack modular synth going "bloop-bleep-brrrrzzzt"... the usual.

But then a thought struck me, probably dislodged by a rogue square wave: "Yet another sample pack? Is the world ready for more... samples?" And since a lot of these sounds were delightfully percussive, drum-like, and occasionally resembled a robot falling down a flight of stairs, I thought, "Why not bundle it with a little drum sequencer?" A little one, I said. Famous last words.

Fast forward through what felt like a couple of million hours, countless cups of coffee (and maybe a few existential crises staring at lines of code that stared back menacingly), and it all ended up here: my personal syndrome. My gift to your ears (and possibly your sanity).

So, may I introduce you to the world's first (probably not, but let's roll with it) AI-written (definitely not, that was all me and the aforementioned coffee), fully functional (mostly!) web and online based interactive avant-garde-like drum machine: BEATSyndrome!
